The Junípero Serra Museum

Design Studio: C&G Partners

This landmark site has undergone numerous transformations. Originally the territory of the Native Kumeyaay people, it became the Colonial birthplace of San Diego in 1769 upon the completion of the Presidio. In 1929, the San Diego Historical Society was established, and has now become the San Diego History Center’s Junípero Serra Museum.

Our vision was to maintain the artisanal look of the space while highlighting the significance of the San Diego Watershed to the Kumyaay people. We collaborated with handcrafted fabricators to create lasting centerpiece graphics.
